In 2012 our company in Koblenz is 25 years old.


Founder and owner of the company is Mr. Wolfgang Engel, publicly appointed & sworn in auctioneer.

In particular since 2001 we have been able to expand our international contacts; these positive developments led to a significant increase in the auction results. The year 2006 has been the most successful one in the history of the company, so far. During auction 109, which took place on February 18th an old master painting by Gaspar Adriaensz van Wittel (1653-1736) reached a hammer price of € 1.7 Million (€ 2.074 Million incl. provision). This represents the highest ever in Germany and the fifth highest ever reached hammer price world-wide for this painter.

2007,  the   year   of   20th   anniversary   the  change  of  the   company's   name   from   Auktionshaus  E N G E L  to E N G E L   FINE ART AUCTIONS underlines the great self demand to offer more highly valued art & antiquities from all periods to it´s customers in the future.

We are located in representative showrooms and offices in the center of the city.

Well-lighted rooms in gallery-style with show windows of more than 30 meters in length allow an excellent presentation of your art objects and antiquities. 



We gladly accept your art objects, antiquities, collections and estate for our auctions taking place 5 times a year (consignments).

In case of larger collections from an inheritance or an estate, we gladly visit you in your home.

Appraisals for deliveries made are free of charge.

Experts for paintings, graphic arts, old and modern art, rugs & carpets and antiquities support our work. Furthermore, we have an extensive art library; those who are interested are welcome to use our library during business hours at no charge.
